What Everest collects
When you create an official Everest account, we may store your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, daily game attempts, submitted answers, answer timing and validation data, ratings, leaderboard position, product events, and error telemetry needed to operate and improve the game.
How we use information
We use account and gameplay information to authenticate you, score daily climbs, calculate population rarity, maintain ratings and leaderboards, investigate disputed or unconfirmed answers, prevent abuse, understand product performance, and support the service.
Population rarity
Your submitted answer may be grouped with other players who gave the same canonical answer so Everest can calculate how common or rare that answer was. Public results show aggregate percentages, not individual players' raw answers.
Service providers
Everest uses third-party infrastructure providers to host the application, database, authentication, and related technical services. These providers process data on Everest's behalf according to their applicable terms and security practices.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and gameplay information while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. You can delete your account from the Account page. Account deletion removes server-backed profile and gameplay data associated with your user record, subject to any limited retention required for security, legal, or operational purposes.
Children
Everest is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under the minimum age permitted in your jurisdiction.
